About the job
Main responsibilities:
To provide scientific, medical and technical expertise and to elaborate the Portfolio Medical strategy plan in order to effectively assist in the development of existing and new business opportunities in full alignment with Company processes and guidelines.
To achieve success, it is critical that the Portfolio Medical Manager:
- Translates agreed strategies into clear, tangible and actionable plans and initiatives.
- Defines and balances strategic priorities against immediate operational challenges.
- Empowers teams to face challenges, make decisions and take action.
KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for the medical plan on products (EP portfolio, Clexane, Plavix, other mature products) in full alignment with the business strategy and with company processes and guidelines.
- Contributes to and leads the execution of the medical brand strategy and life cycle management at the MCO level.
- Ensure proper implementation of the tactics & interaction with HCPs.
- Elaborate the KOL mapping and responsible for the KOL engagement plan where applicable.
- Establish strong collaboration with key opinion leaders and healthcare organizations and ensure that significant developments in the field are identified and monitored.
- Act as a point of contact for medical information related to sanofi products.
- Organize and lead the preparation of local scientific engagements.
- Ensures consistency of medical content and scientific messages across tools and materials.
- Manage scientific engagements & interactions as per Promotional & Scientific Engagement (PSEA) principles as & when applicable.
- Collaborate with the cross functional local teams (Commercial, Market access, Regulatory, PV…)
- Ensure that interfaces between Medical and other departments are managed optimally.
- Review and validate promotional/non-promotional material according to internal & external regulatory guidelines.
- Provide medical support for the company by acting as contact person in consultation with the Medical Head, with external and internal stakeholders.
- Provide medical and scientific trainings to the affiliate teams (when applicable).
- Identify & address challenges to optimal patient care through partnership with systems of care, academic medical centres, HCPs & other professional societies.
- Assess product pruning and divestments management (when applicable).
- Provide medical expertise in the review of safety cases reported locally and contribute to the risk management measures related to Sanofi products.
- Manages internal and external relationships within area of responsibility; ensures consistency of medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials.
Maintain Compliance
Abide by the requirements of the Sanofi Code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company.

About you
Education Level
Medical qualification – doctorate level education preferred MD or equivalent level medical degree, PhD, Pharm D
Experience
Minimum 5 years of Industry experience
Strong understanding of the MCO’s Healthcare system
Skills
Strong business acumen to create compelling and effective Medical strategies that serves to benefit patients, HCPs, and other key external stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and networking skills with an ability to work as part of a cross-functional and multicultural team
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously; plan, prioritize and implement actions using a self-dependent and structured working style
Ability to effectively engage with key external stakeholders and build long-term partnerships with Medical authorities, hospitals, physicians/specialists, opinion leaders and pharmacists
Ability to embrace innovation and analyse information and emerging trends, including social, policy and access-related information, incorporate them into the MCO Medical Plans
