Reporting to the  Head of Finance Specialty Care Franchises and dotted line to the Global Franchise Head Immunology Alliance, you will be the Global Finance Lead for the Strategic Alliances in Specialty Care, a >$4 billion global alliance operation between Sanofi & Regeneron, which includes direct Leadership of all financial matters throughout the entire P&L (anticipated 2024 sales of around 13bnEUR) for the Immunology Alliance, consisting of Dupixent, Kevzara and Itepekimab. Additionally, you will business partner to the cross-functional team leading work around our Immunology pipeline.

Sanofi’s global specialty care business unit focuses on immunology, rare diseases, rare blood disorders, neurology, and oncology. We help people with debilitating and complex conditions that are often difficult to diagnose and treat. Our approach is shaped by our experience developing highly specialized

treatments and forging close relationships with physician and patient communities. We are dedicated todiscovering and advancing new therapies, providing hope to patients and their families around the world.

The specialty care business is in strong growth mode with Global Dupixent, consisting of 3 Franchises across >50 markets, being one of the main drivers of Sanofi’s growth.

The Global Immunology Finance Team leads all financial matters, processes & transformational efforts throughout the Immunology (Alliance) P&L’s across the Dupixent Franchise, Kevzara & Itepekimab as well as to be launched assets such as Amlitelimab or Lunsekimig. We partner closely with Specialty Care & General Medicines Finance worldwide to exchange insights & solutions, while liaising with Regeneron Global Finance for all alliance financial matters. Main Responsibilities:

  • Bring a track record of strong results and performance

  • Coach, mentor and develop a team of 8, thereof 5 direct reports

  • Be the voice of Sanofi Finance, internally at top management levels and externally with partners

  • Be the main contact for and support the Specialty Care Operations on all Financial & Strategic Matters related to the Commercial Alliance.

  • Take the Finance Team to the next level in our Innovation Journey

  • Be the Finance Business Partner to the Global Immunology Alliance/ Immunology GM

  • Ensure strict adherence to the License & Collaboration Agreement with Regeneron

  • Drive P&L accountability and accuracy, alliance operations & negotiations, business partnering and influencing, strategic planning, compliance, analysis, risk mitigation, conflict resolution, process improvements, global leadership, and simplification.

  • Be part of a team that incorporates fun into our day-to-day and is supportive of development and success

Performance management

  • Accountable for driving the financial performance for Immunology Alliance and Immunology and preparation for upcoming pipeline launches

  • Leverage financial and non-financial insights to support decision making and monitors the execution (market data, supply chain KPIs, competition..) partnering with a strong network within the GBU

  • Lead collaboration with Investors Relations, develop Strat Plans, Budgets, CEO updates decks and narratives. Contribute to improvement and adoption of AI/Agents, e.g. in context of allocation of resources (DRA), Global launches

Alliance Governance & Operations

  • Leadership role in Joint Financial Committee (JFC) & Dupixent/ Itepekimab Joint Commercialization Committee (JCC); support overall Alliance Joint Steering Committee (JSC)

  • Lead global network of country controllers (guidance, training, user support)

  • Lead strategy of consolidation & reporting of Global Alliance Actuals, Budget, Forecast and Strategic Plans

  • Oversee consolidation and preparation of monthly accrual and quarterly invoice

  • Thoroughly understand key terms of the Alliance Contract and be the lead to educate the Finance & Commercial Communities on shareable P&L activities, contractual key assumptions & contractual KPIs in partnership with Alliance Management

  • Partner with REGN Finance on financial matters within scope

  • Lead contract/SOX monitoring & compliance across key deliverables

  • Lead audits, as applicable

Process Improvements & Ad Hoc

  • Drive innovative system improvements for Alliance Team and End Users, including PowerBI, Plai, Non-FTE OpEx automation

  • Drive innovative process improvements over ways of working within perimeter and across functions, including standardization and simplification

  • Strengthen finance business partner relationship & transform services provided

  • Ad hoc initiatives and/or projects as they arise

System Support

  • Oversee and mitigate risks around OneAlliance system administration within our perimeter

  • Ensure team is fully supported, including timely issue resolution, across key support teams, including Global FP&A, Data Integrity & Master Data Management

About You

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a closely related field is required, MBA preferred

Experience:

  • A minimum of 15 years of professional business experience within finance, accounting orclosely related field is required, preferably within commercial Pharma or Healthcare industry

  • Current or past experience with a formal people leadership role is required

  • Experience collaborating with external stakeholders/ Alliance is preferred

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in Public Accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) preferred

Soft skills:

  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and intellectual curiosity

  • Must have strategic agility with big picture orientation

  • Change agent

  • People skills, assertiveness & leadership

  • Strong communication skills required (presentations, listening, written)

  • Strong interpersonal skills, business partnering, and collaboration required

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence executive level stakeholders as well as project operational level and externally with key partners is required

  • Ability to work transversally and within a highly matrixed environment is required

  • Global or international experience and ability to work with a diverse team is preferred

Technical skills:

  • Ability to understand and challenge commercial, R&D, industrial and alliances P&L is

  • required

  • Ability to model P&L on a 3/5 years’time period is required

  • Finance business development skills: NPV, deals valuation is preferred

  • Experience within Commercial Finance is preferred

  • Previous experience working within an Alliance leadership role is preferred
