As Intercompany Center of Excellence (CoE) Operations Accountant within our Intercompany Financial Management team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the daily accounting operations related to intercompany services, product flows, and payment management. This position is responsible for booking intercompany transactions, managing invoice discrepancies, and performing reconciliations. The Accountant will ensure compliance with financial policies, assist in audits, and contribute to the overall efficiency of intercompany processes.

Main responsibilities:

• Booking Intercompany Services:

• Record and maintain the financial transactions related to intercompany services in compliance with company accounting standards.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of intercompany service bookings, reconciling discrepancies as needed.

• Booking Manual Intercompany Product Flows:

• Process manual intercompany product flows, ensuring accurate recording of inventory movements and costs between entities.

• Coordinate with various departments to verify the integrity of manual intercompany transactions.

• Payment Management, Cash Application, and Clearing Transitory Accounts:

• Manage intercompany payments, including cash application and clearing of transitory accounts.

• Ensure timely application of payments and reconciliation of related accounts to prevent discrepancies in intercompany balances.

• Managing Missing Invoices for Intercompany Product Flows:

• Track and manage missing invoices related to intercompany product flows, working with internal teams to resolve issues.

• Ensure timely follow-up and resolution to minimize impact on financial reporting.

• Perform GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) Reconciliation:

• Perform GRIR reconciliations to ensure alignment between goods received and invoices issued for intercompany transactions.

• Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with other departments to correct mismatches in records.

• Contribute to External and Tax Audits:

• Assist in preparing documentation and providing support during external and tax audits related to intercompany transactions.

• Ensure compliance with audit requirements by maintainingaccurate and organized financial records for intercompany operations.

About you

• Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• 1-2 years of accounting experience ideally in shared services or intercompany accounting environment.

• Experience with financial systems (ERP systems such as SAP).

• Soft and technical skills:  

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and reconciliation skills.

• Proficiency in excel and SAP for transaction booking and reporting.

• Good communication and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Problem-solving skills with a focus on timely resolution.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Collaborative and proactive approach to work.

• Education: (ask for qualifications only if they are essential for performing the role)

• Good accounting technical skills.

• Languages:

• Fluency in English mandatory and other European languages are desirable.
