KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Performs regular safety inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations. Monitors safety performance metrics and report findings to SLT and above site senior management. Interface with authorities.
- Implement local policies/procedures related to Safety to manage, prevent and controls workplace hazard risks and main business interruption threats. Create and apply systematic improvements by safety standards and safety requirements in engineering standards.
- Conduct risk assessment and implement measures to mitigate main identified risks (legal, social, reputational) by identifying, assessing, preventing and monitoring the process hazard risks (explosion, fire, accidental releases …) to ensure safe working conditions and business continuity. Lead Safety operational program management:
- General safety & hazardous works management (Fire risk management, work at height, confined spaces, etc) in alignment with Life Saving Rules LSR.
- Contractors' safety management (prevention plan, work permit, …).
- ATEX & Process safety.
- Leads investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead emergency response plans, including procedures for chemical spills, fires, and other emergencies specific to pharmaceutical operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices by providing training, education and/or relevant program to all employees (Machine safety, Fire safety, ATEX, KSE, Anoxia, …). Implement new safety technologies and methodologies to enhance overall safety performance. Monitor & Communicate safety performance and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, including employees, regulatory bodies, and the community if relevant.
- Lead the Safety team including training, coaching, capabilities developing and performance evaluation which drive an excellence operating mindset (by implementing Leading safety program, Zero access program, etc).
- Ensure the site’s activities compliance to all relevant Health and Hygiene (Biosafety) regulations and standards (local, state, and company).
- Implement local Health policies and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Establish and maintain high hygiene standards across the site.
- Identifies, anticipates, evaluates and controls local processes (manufacturing, control, storing, etc), environmental factors or stresses in the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health or impact on wellbeing.
- Lead and monitor the exposure assessment programs (API, CMR,OEB 4 &5, Chemicals handling, biological agents, Noise, Ergonomic, etc) and drive management reviews.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential Health and hygiene hazards and work closely to the team to solve issues and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee Occupational health and hygiene (Biosafety) monitoring programs, including regular health check-ups and occupational health assessments for employees and conduct meeting with the local internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish metrics and monitor data to identify trends and issues and to implement action plan. Develop and deliver training programs on Health and Hygiene best practices for all employees and stakeholders to guarantee that all employees have the knowledge and capabilities needed for their tasks.
- Lead investigations health-related incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Analyze health and hygiene data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and report findings to SLT and above site senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement initiatives and drive innovation in Health & Hygiene initiatives and process improvements to maintain a competitive edge. Promote health and wellness initiatives, such as mental health support, and healthy lifestyle campaigns.

JOB-HOLDER’s ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
• Bachelor degree of Engineering/Pharmacy/Science
Related Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of industrial experience with HSE knowledge.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
