Western Europe Communication Lead
Location: Reading, UK - Hybrid

Job Purpose:
As the Western Europe Communication Lead, you will develop and execute internal and external communications for Consumer Healthcare (CHC) activities in Western Europe. You will be the primary communication business partner to the WEU Zone GM and the WEU Leadership Team, driving business goals and raising the profile of Opella in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver long-term integrated communications strategy and narrative in support of WE Zone targets and objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor and integral member of the WE Zone Leadership Team, providing strategic counsel on corporate and brand reputational risk. Create and deploy communications collaterals throughout the zone, leveraging trusted translation vendors where needed. Anticipate, prepare for, and support management on media opportunities and issues. Support the WE CHC leadership team in navigating organizational or structural change with appropriate communications plans. Ensure consistent internal communications through newsletters, townhalls, and community events to foster engagement and drive culture. Oversee the strategic direction, execution, and results of outside communications agencies.
Key Requirements:
6-8 years of experience in a leadership role in Communications in CHC/FMCG/Healthcare, with public relations agency experience preferred. Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically and creatively. Experience working in a multi-country setting, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven crisis communication and issues management experience. Proficiency in digital channels and translating insights from monitoring into advice. Ability to counsel and interface successfully with senior leaders and colleagues across functions and countries. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Business Administration, or Journalism. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.
