Job Purpose

Aligned with our vision to build and maintain innovative solutions.

Leverages Sanofi standards and systems for capital planning & delivery, automation infrastructure & data configuration, equipment design, operations and maintenance.

Ensures appropriate design, execution and condition of maintenance management of utilities/equipment/facilities, ensuring an optimal asset utilization. Contributes to build a site Master Plan and provides operational support in execution of small/medium projects within budget, schedule and specification.

Job responsibilities

  • Is responsible for defining and deploying engineering strategies, including resources management, in alignment with the business objectives.
  • Provides input and studies to support decision making process with Site leadership team and central functions about Strategic Planning & Site Master plan design.
  • Pilot capital projects delivery, providing the funding and operational support to their execution, within budget, schedule and specifications.
  • Ensures appropriate maintenance management design, execution and overall condition of utilities, equipment and facilities.
  • Defines and implements preventive maintenance programs as well as diagnoses and prepares corrective actions.
  • Advises on strategies to ensure all engineering, automation and maintenance compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Provides compliant and performance-oriented service, functional expertise, and guidance with harmonized practices to a business group/group of sites/major project teams, for a wide range of technical activities.
  • Selects, coordinates and supervises assigned staff (internal & external), and monitors completion of activities, based on site needs and strategic workforce planning.
  • Analyzes costs and asset utilization performance and implements continuous improvement plans.
  • Is responsible for budget preparation and spending in respect of the defined budgets.
  • Comply with the standards (external or internal) regarding labor legislation, quality protocols, respect for the environment and safety at work.
  • Actively participates in talent management initiatives promoted by the company.
  • Applies the protocols established by HSE for the development of engineering activities: health and safety rules like PPE, prevention of occupational hazards knowledge, legal authorizations for safe work and any other that may be applicable.
  • Complies with the Quality regulations that apply to the development of the function.

Transversal responsibilities

  • Ensures that the team complies with the standards (external or internal) in terms of labour legislation, quality protocols, respect for the environment and safety at work.
  • Promotes the development of the team and actively participates in the talent management initiatives that are promoted in the company.
  • Ensures compliance with the protocols established by HSE, applicable both to his/her work team, as well as specific regulations for outsourcing personnel. Use of PPE, knowledge of occupational risk prevention documentation, legal authorizations for safe work and any other that may be applicable.
  • Guarantess that the team has the necessary knowledge and training, and it complies with the Quality regulations that apply to the development of their functions.
