The role will lead and develop strategic alliances with key stakeholders in government and the private sector including but not limited to the Department of Health, Local and National Medical Societies and Patient Advocacy Groups.
The role will also be responsible in keeping a friendly fiscal ecosystem for Sanofi by engaging industry association and civic organizations such as the following:
Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP)
European Chamber of Commerce – Philippines
French Chamber of Commerce – Philippines
American Chamber of Commerce
Part of the accountability of this is to lead, create and maintain a system cognizant of the dynamics between the executive, legislative and judicial government branches of the Philippine government - which includes monitoring and tracking the execution of Executive, Administrative, and Department Orders coming from the different government branches.
Uphold the legislative directions of Sanofi relevant to its business objectives by monitoring and tracking key legislative bills and develop a strategic stakeholder map to engage relevant stakeholders such as the Senate, Congress and relevant Advocacy groups
The role will constantly partner with the commercial and leadership teams in keeping them abreast on the developments and co-creating possible scenarios and solutions that will impact total SANOFI PH.
Main responsibilities:
Always in the “know” of the external environment and has a comprehensive perspective on how Sanofi is positioned and perceived externally and the actions we need to take to support our Play to Win strategy.
Positions Sanofi as an industry leader in the country, lobbying for a better ecosystem to support sustainable growth of life sciences industry.
Operates at a senior level representing the interests of Sanofi to government ministers and officials, national policy decision makers, senior executives of trade associations, patient and professional organizations.
Oversees the development of a live stakeholder map of priority Government and policy influencers in the country and leads the implementation of a contact programme to develop trusted relationships with these individuals.
Works across the business to identify the cross-cutting policy priorities for the country’s business and ensure alignment of external messaging and public affairs activity. Seeks to secure improvements to pricing and access regulation, as well as new routes to market that are in line with business needs.
Oversees our engagement with relevant country’s patient organizations to support country’s business priorities and to ensure alignment with global activities.
About You
Communication: Confidently able to communicate with government officials and important stakeholders
Public Administration: Must have a thorough understating on the interdependencies of all government offices and officials; knowledgeable on government protocols
Leadership: Self-driven and works efficiently
Networking: Has experience of successfully delivering high performance in multicultural environments and in a matrix organization; Works well in cross-functional teams.
