The Digital Real World Data Team ensures that a person’s “real” health experience, from diverse data sources like insurance claims, hospital records, fitness trackers, is a key part of every data-driven decision Sanofi makes.

We are on a journey to surface valuable medical insights from the sea of information to enable data-driven prioritization of resources to improve patient impact. We plan to accomplish this by developing a platform that leverages Artificial Intelligence to collate volumes of data from a wide-range of sources and synthesize the information into actionable insights, and we need your expertise to educate and accelerate our roadmap.

Reporting to the Real World Data (RWD) Science Manager, you will be an influential member of an Agile development team. You have a general understanding of machine learning and a deep understanding of the latest generative AI techniques and have a pulse on the evolution of the space. You have played around with the latest AI tools, and can describe the underlying technologies and pros and cons of each. You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working on projects to build production-quality software and data pipelines.

Main Responsibilities

• Propose innovative ways to look at problems using generative AI and machine learning

• Apply advanced techniques to gather insights from text and table-based datasets

• Track and monitor model and algorithm performance and provide recommendations for improvement

• Comfortable working as part of a software development team to deliver production-grade software

• Comfortable creating scalable data pipelines with appropriate monitoring and quality control

• Collaborate with other Data Scientists and engineers on the team and share your Data science work broadly within the company

About You

Qualifications

• Min. 3+ years of experience in analytics and data science using traditional and machine learning techniques

• Master’s degree (or BS degree plus 2+ years equivalent experience) in computer science, applied mathematics, applied statistics, engineering, economics or similar quantitative field of study

• Hands on experience building generative AI and ML applications in a production environment (full ML system development, deployment, and maintenance lifecycle)

• Deep understanding of classic machine learning and GenAI techniques, models and tools

• Ability to perform exploratory analysis and experiments using new techniques, define metrics, draw logical conclusions, and move experiments to production

• Familiarity with knowledge graphs or LLM agents is a plus

• Exposure to training and certification pathways for technical and functional skills from AWS, SnowFlake, Informatica and others. ·
