Cambridge, MassachusettsMorristown, New Jersey Permanent Posted on May. 30, 2025 Closing on Sep. 01, 2025 Salary Range USD 202,500.00 - 292,500.00
Job Title: Global Market Access and Pricing Early Neurology
Location: Cambridge, MA, Morristown, NJ
About the Job
Neurology is an area of innovation and growth within specialty care, with significant unmet needs and market potential. Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs), especially Alzheimer’s disease (ALZ), represent a major growth opportunity, with the market expected to reach ~€13 billion by 2030.
In addition to pioneering Multiple Sclerosis treatments (tolebrutinib in pre-launch phase, frexalimab in Phase 3 clinical development) and expanding into CIDP (riliprubart in Phase 3), the Sanofi Neurology Franchise is building a robust pipeline for neurodegenerative diseases. We are pursuing a multi-pronged strategy focusing on tau and neuro-immune targets for ALZ while also exploring opportunities in other NDDs such as Parkinson’s disease and Multiple System Atrophy.
To strengthen our early-stage neurology portfolio, we are engaging with external assets and technologies. We have made progress over the last year by engaging with several promising external early-stage assets (e.g. equity investments into Vigil Neuroscience and Ventyx Biosciences, license agreement to the anticlastic platform from Alloy Therapeutics for use in development of an ALZ target).
The Global Market Access and Pricing (GMAP) Early Neurology Lead will be responsible for driving the early price and access assessment and value generation strategy of pipeline assets, with focus on neurodegenerative diseases. He/she will drive pricing and access analytics and strategy development, as well as champion the one-voice market access perspective within Global Project Teams. This will include providing price and market access input to inform indication selection, clinical development plans at various stages, broader payer data generation efforts, forecasts/business cases. The scope of work will include both internal assets and external business development opportunities. It may also expand beyond NDDs to include other neurology areas such as pain, narcolepsy.
This is a highly strategic and collaborative role that requires a strong cross-functional approach. The GMAP Lead will be a core member of Global Project / New Product Planning (NPP) Teams and work closely with a range of functions and business partners such as NPP, Clinical, Medical, HEVA, Regulatory, Public Affairs, as well as key countries, to fully realize the pricing and access potential of Sanofi’s early portfolio in neurodegenerative diseases.
We are an innovative global healthcare company, committed to transforming the lives of people with immune challenges, rare diseases and blood disorders, cancers, and neurological disorders. From R&D to sales, our talented teams work together, revolutionizing treatment, continually improving products, understanding unmet needs, and connecting communities. We chase the miracles of science every single day, pursuing progress to make a real impact on millions of patients around the world.
Main Responsibilities:
Leads the value assessment of assets (internal and external) and potential target indications, in collaboration with global cross-functional partners
Leads the development of the access and pricing strategy of assets, based on relevant scenarios developed in collaboration with the Global Project / NPP Teams
Responsible for the timely development of a clear early market access roadmap for all assets in scope to ensure the organization has the right level of understanding and preparedness to support decision-making and market shaping
Responsible for the timely execution of all core activities pertaining to:
Foundational knowledge of disease and payer unmet needs (internal/external insights and global payer research)
Identification of access opportunities, hurdles, and risk mitigation strategies
Fact-based value assessments, with price and access assumptions development for forecasting, and scenario development
Input into clinical development plan and integrated evidence generation plan
Early market access plan and payer value proposition
As part of the Global Project / NPP Team:
Contributes to the formulation and execution of the asset(s) strategy and ensure key payer/ market access considerations are addressed as appropriate
Strategically contribute to governance meetings preparation (i.e., TARC, DWG, IDCC)
Ensures relevant country input into strategy development, and engagement from key markets, through the Early Neurology GMAx subteam
Maintains a high level of knowledge with regards to the scientific, clinical, strategic pricing and commercial developments relevant to the assets under scope and key competitors
CORE BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
Push to go beyond the level we have operated until now: constantly challenge the status quo focusing on the priorities that will deliver the best outcomes and letting go what won’t: be intolerant to mediocracy, believe we can and must do better and aim at higher but never at the expenses of our values and judgment
Put the interest of the organization ahead of your own or those of your team: consider both short- and long-term impact of decisions; put collective and global goals above individual or local goals; share resources and capabilities with those with the greatest need and impact; enable decision making at appropriate level
Act in the interest of our patients and customers: actively engage with customers to know their current and future needs; bring an external perspective into decisions
Take action and don’t wait to be told what to do: take smart and informed best bets with the information at hand and anticipate the consequences of your actions; use personal judgement and others’ advice to make bold and impactful decisions which move us forward.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in science, business, or related discipline
At least 10 years of relevant professional experience with an accomplished track record in pricing / market access
Experience of working across different payer archetypes in different geographies
