About the Role
You will be part of the newly established Real Estate & Workplace Experience (REWx) and Record Information Management (RIM) team, responsible for managing all Opella locations and services worldwide.
The team develops the strategic roadmap and implement new workplace experience models.
As Site Manager, you will play a key role in bringing the workplace to life and maintaining operational excellence. Your responsibilities will span facility management, workplace services, vendor relations, employee well-being, and compliance with local and Sanofi HSE requirements.
You will play a key role in ensuring a seamless workplace experience across two sites:
- Megrine – A dynamic industrial and commercial site, requiring hands-on operational oversight, strong hospitality focus, and a proactive approach to workplace services.
- Cairo – A commercial site coordination, stakeholder management, and lease administration are key.
This role goes beyond facilities management—it's about creating a welcoming, efficient, and engaging workplace for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Management & Building Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Tunisia & Cairo facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Manage cleaning, maintenance, waste disposal, and recycling to meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Optimize energy management (water, electricity, gas) for efficiency and sustainability.
- Lead and coach the Workplace Experience team and third-party vendors.
- Implement workplace policies, Support the development of global workplace service programs and initiatives.
- Develop and implement the Site Master Plan with key stakeholders.
- Oversee lease agreements and rental processes efficiently.
- Collaborate with the IFM site coordinator to maintain smooth day-to-day operations & Support and train the IFM coordinator to independently manage site responsibilities.
- Foster a positive employee experience, ensuring seamless services and a well-maintained environment.
Resident Services
- Supervise front desk operations to ensure seamless visitor and employee experiences.
- Oversee in-office food services to maintain a healthy and cost-effective offering.
- Coordinate courier and mail services for timely deliveries.
- Manage occupational health services to ensure compliance with wellness programs.
Fleet Management
- Oversee company fleet services, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage the Workplace Experience budget.
- Optimize resource allocation for cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
- Manage vendor contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and cost tracking.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Serve as the primary contact for Workplace Experience at the site.
- Collaborate with P&C, Digital, Finance, and external partners to deliver integrated workplace solutions.
- Represent the site in global and regional Workplace Experience initiatives.
- Oversee workplace projects, including renovations, relocations, and new workplace concepts.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Ensure site compliance with local, state, and federal HSE and security regulations.
- Act as the primary HSE contact for regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
- Secure licenses and permits, mitigating legal risks and administrative penalties.
- Establish and maintain relationships with legal authorities and local stakeholders.
- Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies for workplace safety and environmental impact.
- Allocate resources for HSE initiatives, including capital and operational expenditures.
- Develop and maintain the HSE management system in alignment with corporate standards.
- Drive HSE compliance through leadership, training, and employee engagement.
- Oversee HSE event management, ensuring proactive reporting and incident prevention.
- Lead local emergency response and crisis management efforts.
- Manage the site’s HSE team, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to reduce the environmental footprint, raise employee awareness on sustainability, and support BCorp certification.
About You
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience managing plant facilities for multinational corporations, hospitality, or workplace industries (Real Estate Services, Facilities Management).
- This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a people-first environment, actively blending hospitality, operations, and strategic site management to deliver an outstanding workplace experience every day.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
Hard Skills:
- Strong HSE knowledge.
- Project management expertise.
Soft Skills:
- Certification in Facility Management or Environmental Management is a plus.
- Hospitality mindset and service-oriented approach.
- Experience managing multi-cultural teams.
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Experience with office restacking projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach.
- Change agent with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- WELL V.2 certification is a plus.
Languages:
- Fluent in Arabic, English & French.
