Le chef des stratégies de démarrage (SUSM) est un membre à part entière d’une équipe chargée des activités de démarrage de l’étude ainsi que de l’élaboration et de la mise en œuvre d’un plan solide de lancement de l’étude dans son pays. Le SUSM élaborera des stratégies visant à s’assurer de la mise en œuvre du plan de démarrage afin de minimiser le temps entre l’attribution de l’étude et l’activation du site, conformément à la prévisibilité du calendrier des CSU/du groupe et aux politiques de l’entreprise et réglementaires. Les stratégies du SUSM viseront également à prioriser les activités de démarrage conformément au plan clinique.
Le chef des stratégies de démarrage doit posséder:
Aptitudes pour la résolution de problèmes : fait preuve d’esprit critique pour trouver des moyens de résoudre un problème. Émet des jugements rationnels à partir des informations et des analyses disponibles. Comprend les facteurs qui ont une incidence négative sur les calendriers de démarrage de l’étude et les budgets et les atténuer en conséquence.
Aptitudes pour la gestion de projets : tient compte de la qualité, du temps, des coûts et des ressources lors de la planification et de l’exécution des projets. Utilise une méthodologie/des outils d’amélioration continue. Aptitudes supplémentaires souhaitables : niveau de certification en gestion de projets (PMP/PMI).
Gestion du changement : appuie le changement en soutenant les autres. Gère la résistance au changement et obtient un engagement fort. Est un agent du changement.
Gestion des relations interpersonnelles et des relations : Influence, inspire et encourage les gens à adopter un certain point de vue sans contraintes, tout en reconnaissant leurs opinions.
Sens des affaires : applique le sens des affaires : plan fonctionnel – objectifs stratégiques, planification à court et à long terme. accorde la priorité aux besoins des équipes afin de maximiser l’impact sur nos activités commerciales. Pense à One Sanofi (externe), pense dans l’intérêt de Sanofi avant tout (interne). Garde à l’esprit les objectifs stratégiques du service de recherche et de développement de Sanofi, ainsi que les facteurs de croissance et de rentabilité.
Gestion des risques : capable d’anticiper et d’atténuer les risques et les problèmes. Est au fait et anticipe l’évolution de l’environnement interne et externe en s’adaptant afin de gérer l’environnement interfonctionnel à facettes multiples du démarrage de l’étude.
Comportements en matière d’intelligence émotionnelle/ATL (Jouer pour gagner) : est en mesure de reconnaître et de comprendre les besoins et les aspirations en matière de développement personnel à l’aide de la conscience de soi. Comprend que l’intelligence émotionnelle est un facteur de réussite plus fiable que le quotient intellectuel. Incorpore les 3 comportements Jouer pour gagner (JPG) : tirer parti du pouvoir des questions, se démarquer et sortir de sa zone de confort.
Aptitudes pour l’analyse de données (connaissance du numérique) : Surveille les données, évalue les tendances et compare les données pour prendre des décisions. Prédit, prévoit, simule et utilise les données de référence pour définir des objectifs stratégiques.
Connaissance du processus de développement clinique : connait les essais préliminaires et comprend les notions de sécurité, de tolérabilité et de pharmacodynamique et de première fois chez l’homme. Comprend les exigences de la stratégie de développement clinique de SANOFI. Comprend la gestion du cycle de vie des produits et fournit le soutien nécessaire aux principaux intervenants internes (GBU, pharmacovigilance, réglementation, affaires publiques, accès au marché…). Intègre RWE/RWD dans les échanges avec les principaux intervenants internes et externes.
Contexte médical/scientifique – Connaissances du domaine thérapeutique (TA)/de la maladie : comprend la maladie (maladie elle-même, diagnostic, options thérapeutiques, environnement concurrentiel). Anticipe les projets/molécules à venir
Développe les compétences des autres et dirige les équipes : comprend le quotidien et les tâches nécessaires à la gestion du personnel. Est régulièrement capable de démontrer trois des qualités essentielles de la gestion du personnel. Par exemple, l’apprenant (A) définit régulièrement des objectifs de rendement « SMART » avec l’équipe et (B) mène des conversations pour comprendre pourquoi les objectifs ou les exigences de rendement ne sont pas atteints.
À propos de vous
Expérience : Cumuler au moins trois ans d’expérience en tant que gestionnaire de projets de recherche clinique ou équivalent, idéalement avec au moins deux ans d’expérience en démarrage d’essais cliniques.
Compétences générales et techniques : Être titulaire d’un baccalauréat ou grade supérieur en sciences de la santé ou équivalent, selon le pays ou le groupe.
Formation : Formation formelle ou expérience en gestion de projets, expérience dans le secteur pharmaceutique ou dans un secteur connexe, vaste connaissance scientifique de différents domaines thérapeutiques, expérience de travail avec des équipes interfonctionnelles et connaissance de l’évolution des technologies récentes et de la façon de les utiliser pour optimiser les résultats, le cadre réglementaire, éthique et juridique relatif au démarrage de l’étude.

About the Job

Join our Clinical Study team as a Start-Up Strategy Manager (SUSM) and you'll be an integral part of a team conducting Study Start Up activities, developing strategy, partnering with the contracts team, working with multiple stakeholders and prioritizing study start-up activities to impact patient lives as quickly as possible.
Accountable for the development and delivery of a robust study start up plan in their country.
Develop strategies to ensure the startup plan is executed to minimize time from study allocation to site activation in compliance with CSU/Cluster timeline predictability, company policies and regulations as well as to prioritize the startup activities according to the clinical plan.
Prioritize the studies start up activities and influence related parties (e.g. FSP, LSM) to achieve required performance expectations.
Be involved in from output of the feasibility process and site selection planning, sharing current knowledge to facilitate informed decisions regarding site selection.
Oversee study submissions to competent authorities, Institutional Review Boards/Ethics Committees (IRB/EC) and other review bodies. They will oversee the site contracting and budget activities and preparation of documents for greenlight.
Act as a key member of the CSU/Cluster study teams, the main contact for the Local Study Manager (LSM), Site Partnership Manager (SPM), and Medical Advisor (MDA).
Drive and report on study start up metrics on behalf of the Country/Cluster Heads and LSM.
About You:
Earned Bachelor's degree in Health Science, or other relevant scientific degree (required) with 3+ years of clinical research project management or similar experience (required) with at least 2+ years of Clinical Trial Start-Up experience (highly preferred)
History and comfortability taking calculated risks is essential
Formal training in project management is very valuable but not required
Broad scientific knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas is helpful
Knowledge of technology developments and innovations that will drive performance and create efficiencies is highly desired.
Ability to work in high-pressure environment with shifting priorities is key.
Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels, including negotiation is essential.
Ability to speak, read and write in French and English is required.
