The People Director CSE MCO (Central & South Europe Multi Country Organisation) will be responsible for deploying a unified P&C local strategy that supports the company’s business objectives and the Global CoEs strategic initiatives, enhance employee engagement, and fosters a high-performance culture.

He/She will act as a trusted strategic P&C business partner to the Senior Business Leaders of the geography and will support them in designing innovative P&C approaches and be a Sanofi ambassador for the international region.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, knowledge of social relations, appetite for IA and innovation, and a passion for cultivating a positive workplace culture and developing people.

About the Geography

Our MCO is comprised by 7 direct countries including Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Romania, Greece and Israel, and we have presence of both Pharma and Vaccines business operations, while at the same time we are hosting one of the biggest Global Business services centers and a growing manufacturing unit.

In our MCO, we are dedicated to ensuring all CSE patients have access to cutting-edge treatments by leveraging data and AI at scale, implementing effective go-to-market strategies, influencing pharmaceutical industry and EU agenda, and building a cohesive, diverse, and highly skilled community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the deployment of One P&C strategy, business strategy and P&C culture change and as such is a member of the MCO Council at the country council.
  • Focus on strategic activities such as workforce and succession, (in partnership with TM GBU Lead) talent & leadership development, culture, D&I for the respective market , in support of GBU/GF and CoE strategies
  • Ensure talent strategy deployment at market level: Partner with the market Council to support their individual development. Review the Country Council succession depth to ensure appropriate talent density in partnership with the GBU/GF PBPs and TM leads
  • Partners with leaders and Talent Acquisition CoE on senior leadership hires for the market and on hires into roles which help to build deep skill/knowledge in a critical capability area aligned to strategic plans.
  • Own the global P&C support for employees and line managers through PE and Hubs and though country coordination.
  • Coordinate and lead all P&C function matters within the market.
  • Partner with the respective leadership teams to holistically shape and enable the business priorities by driving the people agenda, develop and own people plan for the market in support of GBU/GF/Coe strategies
  • Drive change agenda and key projects, at market level within global frame
  • Manage the relationship with People Services at local level. Hereby, focuses on improving service experience and efficiency, and working in partnership with Business operation to reinforce our hub strategy.
  • Own Social Unions /Labor Relations
  • Is accountable for P&C compliance within market.
  • Manage P&C budget for the market.
  • Represents Sanofi externally, by shaping the external environment as advocate of critical business agendas, influencing key stakeholders
  • Leads a transversal team of P&C professional across different countries and has direct accountability over the following functions (within the Global strategic framework): TM, People Excellence, Union relations, Culture, Diversity and Experience (CDE), R&P (Rewards and Performance), partner with learning COE to build deep skill & knowledge.
  • Function as outside Ambassador of Employer Branding promoting P&C Sanofi initiatives taking part in selected events and associations.

About you

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.

- Minimum of 10years of HR experience, with international exposure.

- Proven experience in leadership development, compensation, employee relations, culture transformation, change management and Crisis management

- Great leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization & ability to represent P&C externally.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

- Management of a remote and diverse team.

- Fluent in English.
